About us

Thank you for the interest in Gulf Coast Radio Control Club. GCRC is a family orientated club with its goals set at simply enjoying the sport of model aviation and having fun doing so. We are a non-profit organization serving nearly 50 members who operate radio controlled model airplanes, multirotors, and helicopters, both electric and fuel powered.

We are located in the great city of Pasadena, Texas. Our field is located off of Genoa Red Bluff just East of Red-Bluff road, take a look at the location page for more details. We sport a paved runway and two grass runways. The field also has a convenience station, 63’ X 21’ covered work area with concrete floor.  We fly seven days a week, weather permitting. The club has lots to offer for both members and spectators, making for a great place for local residents to fly. The club features ample room to fly most model aircraft.

We adhere to strict noise and safety regulations, making us a good neighbor to the surrounding community. Anybody can come out to spectate the flying and we welcome new members. Pilots can join the club once they obtain a membership to the AMA, a national modelers association, and we have experienced pilots willing to take on trainee’s. Pilot visitors are welcome to fly up to three (3) times without joining the club, provided they are insured through the AMA, and accompanied by a GCRC member.

A monthly newsletter keeps the members/public informed and up to date. We don’t spend a lot of time on meetings as the Board handles 99% of all the matters of importance so the rest can fly, fly, fly.
